How to Speed Up Mozilla Firefox
Friday, July 20th, 2007
Yesterday we discussed how to speed up Internet Explorer with a simple registry edit…today I wanted to show you how to optimize your Firefox Browser (A superior browser to Internet Explorer I might add) with a few simple browser edits:
Firefox Speed up steps:
1. Go to the address bar at the top of the browser where it says
http://registry-cleaner-help.com / blog / 2007 / 07 / 20 / how-to-speed-up-mozilla-firefox /
Delete that address and simply type: about:config
Press Enter
2. Make the following changes to Firefox settings now showing in your broswer:
The settings you’re looking for are:
- network.http.pipelining - change to true by double-clicking
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequests - Set to 32 (double-click to select, then change value to 32)
- network.http.proxy.pipelining - Set to true (double-click)
Then right-click anywhere on the screen and select New-> Integer and Name it:
nlayout.initialpaint.delay
and Set to the value 0.
Right-click again, select New-> Boolean and name it:
network.http.pipelining.firstrequest
and Set to True
Right-click again, select New-> Boolean
Name it:
browser.turbo.enabled
and Set to True
You’re done! Open another window on your browser and enjoy the faster Firefox speeds!
